Mass Crayon
[Chung Hyun X Seoul Museum of Art X ODUJEJ]
The Mass Crayon reproduces the form of artist Chung Hyun’s new work, “Mass.” Observing the process where crayons are shaped under intense heat and cooled into solid forms, we reflect on the message the artist seeks to convey through Mass. We hope that this small, robust object we’ve created becomes a meaningful mass that embodies the spirit of artist Chung Hyun and the ability to contain something profound.
"Drawing is about throwing down the emotions condensed somewhere in my body,"
says the artist. Following this sentiment, try reviving your memories and emotions through drawing, like writing a diary.
The Mass Crayon is available in two versions:
- Mix: Focused on drawing.
- White: Emphasizing its value as an object.
This limited-edition Mass Crayon can be found at The Reference in the Seosomun branch of the Seoul Museum of Art, as well as on the The Ref website and ODUJEJ's official website.
